ABOUT US

Meet Gemma!

Hi, I’m Gemma and I grew up in Killington, Vermont but moved to the Adirondacks in 2020 with my fiancé and co-owner, Nick. Baking has always been an integral part of my life, and I love being able to make people happy with the food that I’ve made.

Our biggest goal at Jamdots Baking Co. is to provide food and desserts for you to celebrate with – birthdays, weddings, or even just Wednesdays! Our aim is to do this whilst also being able and open to meet your dietary needs.

My favorite part of baking for others is bringing together their favorite flavors to make great memories, or revive other nostalgic times.

My first job was making breakfast sandwiches in a tiny general store in Vermont, and I continued working in food throughout my college years. Whether it was mixing up brownies for family coming to visit, selling cookies to go on exchange trips, or making my friends’ birthday cakes, I was always making something.

I graduated from New England Culinary Institute with my Bachelor’s in Baking and Pastry in 2019. I gained a range of experience working in small scale farm to table restaurants up to production lines in hotels.

We can’t wait for you to visit our new home in Saranac Lake, New York. Why not pop in for breakfast or have a chat with us about making your next big celebration extra special?

Meet Nick

Hi I’m Nick and I grew up in Tupper Lake. Cooking has always been a huge part of my life and my family have been a major inspiration for me to pursue my passion. My hope is for people to be excited about our food.

Our home grown produce and experimental new products are our favorite things to share with people.

I started my cooking career working at a local pizza joint and then in a food truck with my Dad. I attended BOCES in high school for Culinary Arts and my professor helped kickstart my interest into what has become my passion.

In 2018, I graduated from New England Culinary Institute in Vermont with an Associates degree in Culinary Arts. Training professionally reinforced the skills I had learned, and led me to meet my business partner, and now fiancée, Gemma. After working as a cheesemaker for three years, a move back to the Adirondacks was in order, and so here we are today.

Why not pop in and try one of our amazing sandwiches, they really are the best!
